My problem: Lenovo Y700 15 ISK with Windows 10 x64 charges the battery only to 95%. The bar at the bottom always shows '95% plugged in, charging'. I have no battery settings (maintenance mode etc.) activated, especially because I have no software to do so. As far as I know there is no such settings in Windows 10. I just bought it.

The problem gets weird when you turn off the laptop. Suddenly it charges the battery. Once the battery is fully charged, you can turn it back on and keep working. However, it would be annoying if you had to do turn off the laptop every time and wait for the battery to recharge. Re: Battery not charging when laptop turned on Hi there I have a similar problem with a dell envy notebook 17 yet it says charging but the battery goes down quickly without charging only when powered off I tried taking out the battery and using the charger to power the computer but it doesn't turn on.

J3 Will Only Charge If Off
Laptop Only Charges When Turned Off
Problem: As of yesterday, I tried to plug in my Galaxy J3 to charge and I got no response from my phone. I have tried a different outlet, different charging cords and even went and tried charging it with a car charger. The phone doesn't react to the chargers. I tried a different battery and still no change. I held the power button and volume down button for 1 minute and still no change. I did however find that if I turn the phone off and plug it in, it will start to charge, and I will get a battery image with a lightning bolt. The image will stay on for approx. 6 seconds and then turn off for approx. 8 seconds. It will then vibrate once and the battery image will come back on. This will continue to repeat itself, and eventually, it will fully charge. I let it do this overnight and in the morning it had 100% battery. I am not sure of the android of the phone.
Solution: It looks like the problem is caused by a faulty hardware component, possibly the power IC. You can however troubleshoot this issue by checking if an app you downloaded is causing the problem by backing up your phone data then doing a factory reset. In case the issue still occurs after the reset then the best thing to do is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
J3 Will Not Charge
Problem:My Samsung Galaxy J3 died overnight while on the charger. When I went to sleep, the phone had well over 50%. I set it on charger and went to sleep. I woke up and it was dead. Will not boot. Will not safe boot. Will not respond to charging in any form (plugged in or on a computer USB). I left it plugged in for over an hour this morning with no response (no small jolt as it is plugged in, nothing on the screen). This has happened before and I have just waited it out and put my SIM card in an old phone for a few hours/days/weeks. I was just hoping to find a solution to expedite this process. I don't remember which version of Android I'm running, but it is probably close to the most recent.
Solution: The best thing you can do right now is to clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port. Once the port has been cleaned try using a different charging cord and wall charger to charge the phone for at least 20 minutes. If the phone does not charge then try charging it from a computer USB port.
If the phone still remains unresponsive then this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component. The best thing you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
